“I haven’t changed my wardrobe yet this year, that’s exciting… Although, I’ll tell you what… I had the most exciting, unique, never-thought-it-would-happen, what-am-I-doing-here, Oh-my-God-it-look-silly, I’ve-got-really-nervous fitting that I have ever had before or ever will have in the history however long do we do this show for, I will never have a fitting where I’m ‘guh, oh boy!’… “

‘#Arrow’ Season 7: Could Fewer Spoilers Be Better for the Show? | TVLine:

At Comic-Con, Schwartz described herself as “the spoiler police,” explaining that she prefers to have fans “enjoy [the show] when it airs, and not find out things too early.” In turn, series lead Stephen Amell & Co. proved more guarded with Season 7 preview, not even (to cite one example) elaborating on the well-teased Longbow
Hunters element, even though casting for three of Ricardo Diaz’s cohorts had been trumpeted at the Con.

I think the team is definitely broken, after all of the animosity that happened between us last season. And now the predicament Oliver is in, and just the sacrifice that he made for us. The hierarchy is broken, so we need to restructure and reevaluate how we approach the team

Arrow Season 7: Every Tease And Spoiler We Learned At SDCC 2018:

The cast of the CW series descended upon San Diego Comic-Con to spoil as much as they could without giving too much away–new showrunner Beth Schwartz made sure of that, labeling herself “the spoiler police.” While most of the big secrets remain just that, speaking to GameSpot and a small group of reporters during a roundtable, Schwartz and her cast shared some very interesting information about what to expect from the new season

We can’t do anything… We can’t put on our masks anymore. So that was part of the deal with Watson was that we give up these aliases, and we don’t have to do any time. And he will really be the sacrificial lamb.

“The last scene in the premiere like affected me, by the way, OK, I am not in it, it affected me in a way that I hadn’t been affected, I think, since season 2. I read it and…Oh, shit, really? Wow!…So I am glad that 7 years in we get to do stuff like that. So you can’t let fan suggestions dictate what you do, right, you gotta get to do your own thing”

Stephen Amell at SDCC 2018

Oh, oh!

I’m guessing the thing he’s referring to in season 2 is Moira’s death scene. He’s talked about that being hard for him before. Sounds pretty ominous for the premiere. Will there be a significant death? As long as its not Felicity, John, William, or Lyla I’m fine. If it is…im out lol.

That last part about not letting fan suggestions dictate is interesting. Which fans is he talking about?

Ahhh @jules85 Raise my hand… me, me!!

I have been waiving a “kill Wild Dog” flag for a while now.. I think like they killed Sara in 3×01 they might kill Rene – who might do something reckless in his attempt to honor Oliver, maybe even Dinah Zoe and Curtis mourning him!

Fan suggestions like killing Felicity – like the fanboys want – or William – like some nameless people want – I will not even consider!  I refuse!

May I remind you that this is the same scene Beth blacked out when she first sent Stephen the script.  She didn’t want Stephen to know, as Oliver is not supposed to know about it yet!  But I guess he read it later anyways! She wanted to capture the Stephen reaction above on Oliver’s face!

@almondblossomme @jules85  I am totally with you about someone dying in this last scene… I am almost sure is Wild Dog… Just check Rick’s interview below…He is having problems articulating answers…He is just babbling… lol

Hi @almondblossomme @jules85 @nalla-madness, I just rewatch 6×15/6×16 and I found this interesting conversation between Curtis and Dinah at Rene’s apartment:

Dinah -You two [Curtis/Zoe] seem to be getting along well…

Curtis – Yeah, you know. It’s nice having a little munchkin around

Dinah– I’m sure Rene appreciates someone he trusts taking care of her

– Guys, the writers were foreshadowing Curtis as a possible guardian for Zoe (I always thought the absence of René was kind of weird in those episodes) … He is toast!

What do you think?

I honestly thought it was foreshadowing then @oliverdant and I did speculate that Rene would die in 6×23 and if you remember he had a close call in the finale but he survived. What’s one episode over? Especially after all the mutual forgiveness exchange with Oliver, his story was complete. How else was Curtis ever going to become a parent?

Same for KC as a matter of fact, I am surprised she is still around? But in her case they extended her story a little bit.. to end her with Diaz.

@nalla-madness @jules85

Hi @almondblossomme good to hear we are in the same page with Rene.

About Curtis, I think they will keep him around parenting and in love with Officer Anastas (I saw he’ll be back in 7×01). My take is that after Rene’s death, he will become Zoe’s guardian and will not be back in the streets for a while…. Whatever! The writers will need to come up with something atractive that make me care…

About the new Laurel, I think her character has more potential storylines. Will she become a vigilante? What’s her story in Earth 2? What happened there? Did she have history with Tommy, Thea, Roy, Diggle and Felicity? Can she really become “DA Laurel” after reading 5 books? 😂 . They need to fix this part but for me, It’ll be fun to watch. She has lots of followers, maybe they can spin her character off and create a prequel of her life for the new DC streaming service. I’ll watch it.
